Close fireplace flues when not in use. Insulate water heater. Lower water heater temperture dial pre-vacation. Install a programmable thermostat. Use compact fluorescent and LED light bulbs. Install “energy star” rated appliances. Install dual flush in toilets and low flow shower heads. Locate and seal any window or door drafts. Make sure plumbing fixtures do not leak.::
